Question Why does my car torque steer on throttle?

Just noticed recently that when i am driving in a straight line and accelarate, the nose of the car moves to the left, back off and it comes back. You can feel it thro the wheel as well.Any ideas?the only thing i have done is replace one of the rear tyres after a puncture, but i am sure the problem is generated from rear suspension/linkages.
Help me please!

hmmm... that's odd. What's the errr milage, or uhhh meterage? What year is it (the rear suspension was changed a bit after the first year or so)? Obviously, with the LSD and RWD you shouldn't really be getting any noticable torque steer - especially if you're only putting stock numbers to the ground. I suppose it's possible it could be your PPF, but it seems like you would have more symptoms than just a "torque steer" effect... Do you hear any rattles or chunks when you let off the accelerator? Is your steering otherwise tight (as in, is there any play in the wheel or can you change lanes by changing your mind?)?

... more info please.

after checking tyre pressures and for uneven wear. Is the new replacement tyre alot newer than the other one? and is it on the right side? if so you have discovered the effect of Stagger, using a slightly larger tyre on one side to improve cornering in one direction - Oval racers use a larger diameter tyre on the right side to help the car turn left under power. Have a 4 wheel Alignment done - could be bad Toe settings at the rear causing a thrust angle problem - I had similar symptoms and they went away after I had the car aligned.

Hi guys thanks for input.Car is a 93 manuf. in 92.R1 with 50,000 miles on clock. There is slight wear in wishbone bush on left, you can hear it clunk as it tops out over speed bumps. There is an audible clink when you shut throttle at low speeds,is that the UJ?.Tyre opposite new one on rear is pretty new so dont think its suffering with stagger, but i will go and get a 4 wheel alignment check and see if they find anything. Will let you know, thanks for help,

From www.m2performance.com under the "Suspension" section:

about trailing arms (especially of the '93):
On a related note, the OEM rubber bushings are prone to failure over time as stress from engine torque breaks down the bushings. A typical symptom of bad bushings is a "clunking" in the rear suspension upon changing of direction and slow speed turns.

about toe links:
Upon aggressive driving, the forces on the rear wheels while cornering and braking cause the wheels to want to "toe-out" and the OEM rubber bushings comply to this force. This is a particularly bad and unstable condition as a wheel pointing in a certain direction is going to want to go in that direction. This toe-out condition results in the car over-steering or wanting to over-rotate.

Sounds like you need some new suspension pieces.
