whoa! Please help!!!

OK I was driving today to a friends house and she was driving great! I got back into the car about a half hour later and I can't get above 2800rpms. It Spits and sputters as thought the turbos are trying to spool up, but it won't go. I can't get above 40 mph...and that's going downhill. It's not overheating and The engine and turbos have under 20k on them. Did I lose a hose connection somewhere maybe? Please help!!!

check the hose that goes to the map sensor. The map sensor is on teh firewall near the driver side. I hope that is it.

may also want to look at your fuel filter... a friends gas tank was so rusty that he had to change the filter weekly. The rust cut off the fuel flow and he had a similar studering. Hope this helps

I forgot to mention that I just had it at the mazda dealership to get 2 of the 3 recalls done that had never been taken care of. Would anything they did with the recalls cause this problem?

I didn't see any disconnected hoses. I started her up, but as soon as I giver her any gas, she coughs and stalls out. Has anyone else had this problem?

If it only happens at around 2800 rpm, check out your double throttle solenoid or fuel pump relay.

I'm not used to FD's. I have worked on my jeep quite a bit, but I'm new to this car. I'm going to print out a manual tomorrow from:

http://www.iluvmyrx7.com/3rd_gen_manuals.htm

Can anyone point me to some pages to reference?

Does your check engine light come on? Check the codes anyway, that may point you in a general direction. To me it sounds like you're in limp mode. I'm having a similar problem right now... see https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...hreadid=108684

for a description of my problem. I'm thinking its a bad OMP connection.

double check and tripple check Boost Sensor on both ends, then reboot the comp by disconnecting the neg battery terminal and step on the brakes for 10-20 secs connect the terminal and then see if the prob persists. If so check codes, then replace fuel filter, if that does not work clean injectors if that was the problem replace injectors. BTW it could also be a faulty silonoid that the comp might not pick up anyway let me know how you turned out!!
