the welds looked good and it looks like its cast aluminum.

this could be an old setup seeing how it has a peter ferrel ecu,
as for the air duct, that was my next question, anyone sells them?

You can try Pettit Racing and see if they'll sell a Medium SMIC duct to you without the IC.

that looks like a super old/discontinued HKS SMIC

maybe u can ask FDnewbie to get you this duct from RE-Amemiya.. currently still in production
