The Oil system is NOT a closed system - It constantly vents through the PCV valve (btw that stands for: Positive Crankcase Ventalation ) One of the primary functions of the PCV system is to reduce the build up of condensation in the oil (the other is to keep the sump from exploding due to built pressure up blow by gases)
