Who knows what it is?

A small box connected by the ECU on the passenger side that's connected with a yellow wire and has Mitsubishi on it. Anyone know what is or what it's for?

isn't that the EL control unit? If you are talking about the one that bolts to the backside of the ECU bracket.

The fan recall module is also on the back of the Ecu bracket, but its connected with quite a few wires.

I was wondering what this thing was a little bit ago too when I was pulling my engine. Could you possibly elaborate on what this thing does? Thanks.
