who has a better rebuilt engine????

im looking around at buying a 3rd gen. i know that sooner or later i will have to replace the motor, cause not everyone is an enthusiast to keep the car running correctly. i want to know who has good engines that a rebuilt, such as pettit racing, etc. i know that the big names aernt always the best and i welcome the smaller shops too. i want to have somethign that will last 50K miles atleast after all my precautions are taken care of. you know the reliability mods. i also plan on making it a track car/street car. any help will be great. there will also be a poll, please add as moany as possible on how you feel about the engine and the website. also would it be worth just getting a second motor and rebuilding that one with all the goodies as compared to just buying a big name engine?

I know personally of one person who got a Pettit rebuilt/modified engine and rebuilt turbos. The engine had to be sent back. It was missing some of the corner seal parts and used too much oil. The turbos also had to be sent back due to a bad oil seal leaking.

My 2nd engine in my car came from Hayes and it was a piece of ****.
I bought a used engine and from that built my own engine which is better
than a new one from Mazda plus is modified. AFter replacing the Hayes POS with my own engine, I dismantled the Hayes and through most of it away as it was trash.

If you want something done correctly, do it yourself or else you have to pay more to get it from a real racing engine shop.

rotary reliability and racing builds great motors...they do most of the guys here that i know in LA and Orange County. Id trust no other with my motor. period.

this aspect is their strength as far as their shop is concerned.
