Mine has been a daily driver for almost 3 years now. I do drive in light snow if I can't bum a ride from a friend. Anything more then a little bit of snow and I either find a ride, or stay at home and do my homework.

its not the driving in snow i am concerned about , i drove teh car in deep snow and sleet it drove fine even on dunlop sp8000 tires, just goes sideways a lot, nothign that cant be controlled. its the salt and daily wear and tear i am mostly owrried about, and space, i wonder if the car has enouf space for me to sell my FC and drive the FD everywhere, i donno if i woudl also be worried leavign the car unattended such as outside of the bar or things like that...

I have daily driven mine for the past 1-1/2 years. It costs a lot in gas, cleaning time (gets dirty faster), and maintenance. That said, it's actually pretty easy to drive in the rain (we don't get snow here).

Getting rock chips or door dings does definitely suck though. When I park places, I try to park in an end spot to minimize the risk of dings. I also am cautious about WHERE I park it (not so good neighborhood, etc).

Every day for 3+ years. Snow, rain and all. No harder to drive in the snow than any other rear wheel drive car I've owned. Only 2 mile daily commute Didn't get a pristine one so I could enjoy driving my sports car instead of staring at it. That said it's in pretty good shape. I buy all my parts new from Mazda. This one wears out I'll just get another. Just the usual common FD problems (syncro, emissions, oil leaks, interior parts). Run it hard daily just like my old FC and previous FB...

i drove my fd dailly for about 7 years.
got to about 90k before it died on me. It lost the water seals but i lasted for that long and that was amazing in itself. I drove the **** out of, always thrashing on it, never a dull moment.

Daily driver as well. I just got mine. So I've only been driving it for about three weeks. I've got an Eclipse (collecting dust) too but I just love my new FD. I get butterflies in my stomach everytime I drive her.

unfortunately, I have drove my FD daily for a little over 2 years now. Rain, snow, salt, you name it. I am starting to get some rust around the rear wheel wells. The paint is bubbling.
This summer I'm planning on getting it fixed and it should turn into a weekend car.

Got mine a few months ago and drove it daily, then switched to a weekender, now it can't be driven, I must have made the rotary gods mad...

This summer when it has the rebuild it will become a dd once again.

Daily driver from Feb. 02 til Feb. 03. Gas was the biggest complaint. Also, if you end up with a cooling problem like I did with my radiator, you don't have a car to drive unless you wanna fry the engine. Finally got a daily driver and should have my FD in better shape in about a month. Then it will be strictly for leisure drives/ weekends. I'm saving alot of money on gas now driving a Stratus. Not as fun though. Just change the oil every 2k and you should be fine. Also, I've weathered the snow like owners, but no one can say that they would want to drive the FD in the snow, so keep that in mind. I always tell my friends that my RX is a deathtrap in snow, and they give me rides to work and school.
