Who created the build section?
I'm not sure why the build section was created. Does anyone else think its a bad idea? People that browse barely ever go into a sub-sub forum. And there's so little volume already in the 3rd gen section, this will just reduce it even more.
i wouldn't really say that. it seperates technical questions from the rest of the threads.
but generally i'm more irritated when i read a thread that has been answered 10,000 times in the past month over any real technical questions.

+1 ... Can the mods transfer my build thread in to that sub section also? Its in my sig..
There is a build thread? Where is this magical place? I think this forum has too many sub sections and some of them make no sense. Like why is the other engine swap section in the rotary car performance that would make it not a rotary car, just saying is all.
It's at the top of the 3rd gen section now....FINALLY A BUILD SECTION!!! Thanks to whoever created it! There have been some excellent build threads in the past which tons of useful information that have been buried over time. I'm sure not all of the build threads have been moved yet, but it's a start.

I like it! Coming from someone who has over a 100 sub and sub-sub folders in her outlook, I appreciate the sorting, it makes hunting down people's build threads easier. Also means I won't have to subscribe to everyone's thread to keep track.
Thanks for moving my thread as well

I had compiled a list of build threads and linked it to a forum admin which created the subforum. Im sure not everyone agrees, but it seemed alot of people (myself included) thought it was a good idea as it seems the tech section was cluttered with alot of non-tech issues. And I myself love a good build thread and thought a subforum would be easier to navigate and they would not become buried amongst the other threads. If I had missed a build thread, I guess you can PM me with the link or just post it here and Ill forward it to the admin. And I apoligize if I had angered anyone by moving their thread, but it seemed as if there was far more positive towards creating a subforum than negative reaction.
What do ya know, I saw my thread in there.
I like it too. I love seeing builds, but because the threads get so much attention, it often clogs up the technical threads. Having a separate section is great. Very innovative.

Glad to see that this went through! Thanks for compiling the list Rxmfn7. I was a bit hesitant about how the rest of the forum members would feel about this change, but so far more positive than negative
Thanks Omicron!
You betcha folks. If you find others, please let me know and we'll get them moved.
Each generation will wind up with it's own build thread subforum. So far I've only done 3rd Gen because that's the list Rxmfn7 gave me, but if peeps want to complile the list of threads from 2nd gen and 1st Gen, I'll be happy to set those up and move the threads there too.
