I think Greddy makes a little "spacer" that goes under the oil filter and it is pre tapped for one. Nothing permanent.

When I bought my car, my oil temp was tapped into the drain of the oil pan. But I bought the Greddy adapter anyways since it's pretty cool

I see...yeah I was gonna get that but the oil filter was hard enough to take out already! wouldn't this adapter make it even harder?

Along the same lines... What filter would you use? How does their recommended 85-87 Corolla filter stack up?

well i haven't put my intake manifold on yet because i'm still waiting on my throttle body but it seems that the stock mazda oil filter would be fine as far a i can tell. i actually went out and bought a FRAM Toughguard '87 Corolla filter which i'm not quite sure is the right one (is there a difference between a regular corolla oil filter and a GTS?) but it's o-ring diameter was about the same as the stock mazda oil filter one if not smaller. so i figure anything that fits on flat face of the adapter will work fine and screws on correctly. maybe that note on their website needs to be updated because the product look different now.

jspecracer7, what oil filter are you using?
