Angry Where to get a Vin# sticker

My car has finished a paint job. The body shop just mask the Vin# sticker on the side door sill and spary over it. The results is bad and now they messed up the sticker. The body shop told me the sticker can not be replaced and no way to get a new one from Mazda.

I think it is not correct. Where can I get a replacement sticker of offical duplicated one? I can show that my car is clean title and not wrecked or anything. I will call Mazda to find out on Monday.

Hope anyone can help.

I think they are right, if someone could just duplicate that imagine what someone could do if they stole a car.

Doubt it, but I'm not sure why you need it. The VIN is still stamped inside the engine bay. All you are really missing is the paint code.

I want it because it will give me a cleaner 100% stock look. The paint job is great but the paint aroudht the VIN Sticker makes it look like I got a serious accident.

My car was not wrecked. It just got a minor hit on the door and the body close to the door latch of the driver side. They replace the door and fix the body panel. However they messed up the Vin# sticker when they do the paint job.

You cant get a new sticker, just as you cant get a new VIN tag. In some states (if not all) if you remove or alter either sticker or tag it is a punishable offense, and not like ripping the mattress tag off! These plates and stickers were made for the car and arent supposed to be removed or replaced with anything else. Dont mess with the sticker. It is a silly rule something so simple as a sticker, but it is for the protection of your RX

I will see if they can do a better paint job around the Vin# sticker. Hope it comes out great.

Don't believe the hype. You can order the replacement decal and the Mazda Dealer can print it with your car's information. They will need proof of ownership and facts about the car. Look on www.iluvmyrx7.com Body A Caution Plates and Labels. The "Tire Label" for a 1993 is part number FD01-69-014.
