Where does the knock sensor wire plug into?? i have been going through my car and have found that my knock sensor has been unpluged since the day i bought it.. So now i have no clue where it plugs in and the wire is just sitting on top of the power steering... I checked the FSM but it just show the sensor and not where it plugs in also checked forum but it shows same thing..Any help would be greatly appreciated..

 

It plugs into the main harness. It should be located behind the alternator by/under the Purge Control Solenoid.

Ok soo i have found a brown wire that has been cut..Im guessing this is the wire that is for the knock sensor,it's right behind the alt like MAHJIK said it would be .. So running off of this info would it be ok to just hook it back up wihtout the connector or do i need it?

 

according to the 94 shop manual the knock sensor hooks into a white shielded wire. the connector is for one wire and has 3 ears on it. my 93 also had a white wire BTW.
