Where does the cabin get fresh air from for AC?

Where does the cabin get fresh air from for AC?
Hi there! I am getting fumes in my car when my ac is on and recirculation is not pressed. So I can find route fumes better, where does the ac get fresh air from?

It is likely the foam used to seal the duct work between recirc and non record air has broken down and letting air pass. Unfortunately the only way to take care of this is to remove the dashboard.

Thanks for the info! My main question is, where does it draw the air from outside the vehicle? Does it pull from the engine bay? Windshield cowl? Fender?

It pulls from under the cowl that's under the wipers. If you remove the wipers and cowl, you'll see the entrance to the system over on the passenger side. It is back in there a little bit.
