RX7store has them for $215, and they usually have one of the lowest prices.
As to what intake is the best, I dont think it matters all that much, they are all pretty much engineered the same. A lot of people like the M2 though. I have the Apexi one, and it works fine, no complaints.

The turbo's spool up quicker, even possibly boost-spiking. I suggest you might want a boost controller if you have a DP and/or a CB. With hard pipes you can hear them sing more. Also the stock BOV vents to a filter and can be heard clearly.

I bought one recently from *** Imports for $204 (including tax/shipping). Ordered via web and it arrived in just under 2 weeks.
It actually fixed a boost problem I was having with the stock air box (search for HKS EVC IV Apexi Power Intake if you want to read about it).
It is noticably louder (I'm not sure I would say better sounding though) than the stock air box. Make sure you put the pill in the proper line or you'll have a nice loud Moooooo!!
As far as HP gains I haven't dynoed personally before/after so I can't really say. You can find studies done on the various intakes on the Internet.
The main reason why I chose it over the rest was the quality of the filtering it does. I found a few comparison tests and the API seemed to do really well on all of the tests.
The install is easy even though the instructions are in Japanese. If you do need help putting it in a few members here have posted up guides.
As others said the filters are big. I had run some ducting up the passenger wheel well but I ended up ripping it out and I'm still trying to figure out what to do for some good cold airflow into them. Current plan is to leave it for now and in the next year get some non-popup lights (removing the motors), move the electrical to the battery area out of the air intake area (I've relocated the battery) and that should leave some good space to get some ducting/shrouds made to bring nice cold air in.

Got em for $224 but with free shipping. Slightly cheaper than "THE STORE" (at least at my cost for shipping) and both are sponsors of the forum.

im the cheapest place to buy an apexi intake since im going single.
I dont have the apexi intake filters though, i used reverse conical k&n ones that are pretty expensive. I modified them cause the apexi uses 4 bolts. A little ghetto, but if you spent a little time with them im sure you could get them to seal a bit better, however i used them for a year with no problems.
