AZ Where is CAS on 3rd Gen?

I have searched and cannot find any pictures or good descriptions of where the CAS is on a 93 rx7. I searched CAS location and found nothing.

Heres my problem. I have a microtech lt8 that is not showing the orange light while I try to crank it. I was told that the CAS is not getting a good signal. The car ran fine 3 months ago before I had it painted and I moved the intercooler to the front bumper and made new pipes for them. I did remove the intake manifold and throttle body to clean them up, but I did not intentionally unplug anything else. I am getting no spark at this time. The car looks great but is worthless until I get it running. Please somone help me out.

To the upper-right of the front pulley.

Is it common for this sensor to go bad. If it is plugged in is there a way to check and see if it is good or bad?

Is that the crank angle sensor?

Does your tach move while you're cranking?

The CAS is magnetic, a common problem with after market ecu is due to the weak signal. The easiest solution is to put a spacer in to move the sensor closer to the timing wheel (about 1-1.5 mm gap).

Also check the electrical connections at each sensor. They may appear to engage and click in place but the wires may slide back as you push, if there is damage in the connector. That's one place where you want to make sure the wires are OK and the connections are sound.

Ok, quick question. I just rebuilt my motor and installed everything...when I tried to start the car, it just cranks over but never starts. I checked everything and it looks like my crank angle sensor got slightly damaged somehow, could this be the problem?
