Where can you jack this car from???????

Guys I am trying to trouble shoot my coolant leak and i need to jack the car up. I have one of those small hydrolic jacks that you slide that jack under the car and then use a handle and go up and down as the jack rises. Now where is there a safe spot to jack the car from? I am sliding the jack through the area between the wheel and the doors rear view mirror, I am trying to put it in the area between the oil pan but for some reason i am having a tough time finding a spot which wont damage the car? any ideas? post some pics please to show me areas i can jack the car underneath, it will be alot easier for me.

I always jack up on the center cross member that goes in front of the oil pan. That's where the shop manual says to jack. If you follow the plastic under-belly pan towards the back of the car, it ends right at this cross member. Its kinda hard to get to with the car completely on the ground, but I can do it with my small hydraulic jack. Sorry, I don't have any pics.

if your car has not been lowered then you should be abble to go in behind the front tire and jack it up at the rear pivot point for the lower a-arm.

I go from the front just in front of the oil pan on the crossmember. Have to pull car up on some wood ramps to make clearance for floor jack. Tom

In the interest of safety may I suggest that you invest in a set of steel ramps with the entensions for low clearance vehicles. I have had a set of these for years and they have been worth the price many times over.

Great advice, Or 2 GOOD jack stands. I can only bench press about 300 lbs. and half an FD3S will come in at around 1500 lbs or so........

Yep...I jack under the front subframe, and on the rear differential. I put the jackstands where the subframe attaches to the unibody.
