When left out in the sun car doesn't want to start.

I live in So Cal so I'm guessing this is a heat issue. When left out in the sun the car doesn't want to start. When I turn the key nothing happens. I keep trying and after a few tries it finally turns over and starts no problem. I have a brand new starter on it because the old one went out not to long ago, and I did the H33 by pass mod as well. This happening to anyone else?

Is it turning over, but not firing? Or is it not turning over at all?

Not turning over. When it finally does decide to turn over it fires no problem.

Sounds like the click click no start issue. Pretty common. There are various possible reasons as to why it's doing it.

Are you sure it's only when it's left in the sun? It's never done it when cold starting?

No click click, and yes only recently has it done this when it's now over 95 degrees. When left under cover or shade it never has this problem

1. check voltage at starter. if low, install booster. one can be made with a realy for under $10
2. If issue does not go away, remove the security relay (located in drivers side kick panel) and jump the two thicker wires
3. if issue still does not go away, sell the car ahahahhaha

oh and search the forum.....your not the first to have this issue.

read right thru that

check your clutch switch also....could be on its way out? not likely but i would check it if your starter booster does not fix the issue
