Wheels on a red RX7?

What models of wheels look best on a Vintage Red RX7? What kind of finish, i.e. polished, ultra high polish, satin, colors...? I know this is somewhat opinionated but would love to hear some response...and see some pictures if you have them. Thanks.

I think Advan SA3Rs (black with a red lip) would look clean as hell on a red FD. You can't get them though, because those are the rims that I want! :p

anything with a nice alloy center with polished lip will look awesome. My friend has Volk AV3's on his red supra and they look AWESOME. I'll see if I find a pic.

I always like gold/bronze colored wheels on my red FD. Seems to be the best looking color. Maybe black but then you can't see the wheels

BLACK wheels look dope on a red car, get some flat black Le37, or gunmetal Regamaster evos,... too bad desmond doesn't sell black evos........ actually they do but they're called sw388 by spoon, since its not a honda it'll be silly to put those on your car heh..

These are my Blitz 03s they look better in person. They are grey paint with a polished lip. I Think a darker paint would look cool. White I don't like and full polish no.

Hard choices

I had a hard time picking, I came across a deal and said WTF. I like my choice but also like many others.

Classic Silver or Dark Silver

This is all very subjective. I have not seen a bad looking wheel on a red FD. Still you can't go wrong with classic bright silver. My racing wheels are SSR Comps, and they look pretty fabulous. The great thing is they still look great after a day at the track, since the Anthracite wheel centers match the brake dust The SSR Comps come with a machined rim lip which outlines the wheel rather nicely.

For street, anything that u think looks good. Really not a biggie, IMO, as u r the 1 that has to be happy w/ them. In my highly biased opinion, I love 3-pc mesh rims and like Racing Hart Type C2s. For racing, choose something light (duh) and pick the smallest size (for weight) that a) clears whatever bracke caliper/rotors u got, b) have available tires w/ a good fat contact patch and c) offer the proper offset.

EG. CCW makes great rims that will fit and u can run up to 285/30-18 at all corners. Some forged one piece has proper sizes for 255/40-17 @ all corners too and I think this is a good setup for Autox.

Wow, there are so many good looking RX-7s and the Supra looks pretty good too. It looks like I need to get some rims during the spring.

HedgeHog,
your car is DEADLY! Compliments go out to you! Great mix of body parts and wheels! Btw, what are the specs of those rims? Sizes, offsets? Truly beautiful car!

Racing Hart C2s

Hedgehog -

Nice, nice looking car, and I love the C2s. But what size are yours, 18" right? What width? I am having trouble finding 17" in 8.5" or 9" width, or any C2 wider than 8" for that matter.....am I blind or what?
HELP!
I like that style of wheel best too. I've seen versions from FISKE and KOENIG and some others.....what is the cost of the RacingHart wheels?
Thanks in advance.

I have to agree...on a red car polished looks awesome..

Kinesis or fikse...I personally like Kinesis better because I like seeing the nuts around the rim ...and that's why I got them..didn't 100% polished..but my car is not red either.. I like the standard finish on a silver FD.

18" x 8.5" Front 42mm 24lbs 245/40-18
18" x 10.0" Rear 45mm 26lbs 275/35-18

Email/PM Rishie (ARDT2) for good Racing Hart prices. I got mine elsewhere since I'm in Canada. The 18" C2 list for around $650-700 each.
