Wheel Spacers?

Search failed me...

I understand you can use 5mm spacers on our stock wheels/ studs. I'm wondering if these make an appreciable difference to how the wheels look. Personally I think our wheels look too Camaro-like as they are sunk so deep inside the wheel wells. I used 8mm spacers on my Boxster and it made a nice difference.

Anyone have pics/ feedback?

Where could I buy some?

Thanks,

Sam

I sincerely doubt that 5mm spacers would make much of a visual change...that's only 1/5". If you are going to bother, I would think 10mm would be more like it. Of course you could always put that money towards buying wider aftermarket wheels/tires.

Like rynberg said you wont be able to see a 5mm difference. And personally I would never use any wheel spacer especially one big enough to see a difference and even more importantly on a sports car that will see high cornering loads on the wheels. I would go with new wheels or leave it stock.

5mm could help a bit. I wouldn't go any bigger than that on the stock wheel studs. Not sure on the front, but the rear studs are a HUGE pain to change out.

Our wheels stock aren't that bad as far as being sunken in. BTW, the 240 guys call that "you sunk my battleship" .

someone said somethin like that before about the load on the wheel bearings. but do u think that 10mm would increase the load on them that much? and how much r wheel bearings? is there anything else to be concerened about?

I have a 2 spacers I have no need for, I'm not sure what size they are but if you are interested I'll dig them out and take a look for you. The guy i bought my car from had them on the back tires to make them look flush with the fender. When i bought new rims i had no need for them.
