Question What's your favorite product to clean radiator?

I'm getting ready to flush my radiator and wondered if doing a thorough cleaning would significantly improve its ability to cool and lower my engine temps now that we are moving into warmer weather? If so, does anyone here have any experience with a particular product that they would recommend(or not recommend)? Also, any other suggestions for low cost cooling mods or products would be most appreciated.

you could do the fan mod, or a miata thermoswitch which turns the fan on sooner or at a lower temp then what the stockers do (220 degree apprx stock)...cheap effective..search for more info

That also reminds me, I've got a friend who works at a mechanic shop, he's got this awesome tool they use to remove air from the system after your final refill.

It's a tank for extra coolant, it attaches in place of the radiator cap, and holds about 2 quarts of coolant. You run the engine for about 5-10 minutes with this thing attached, I probably got almost a cup or two worth of air bubbles out of my system with this thing.

Then when you're done, it's got a valve on it so you can remove the tank and extra coolant without spilling anything. I'll try to take pics of it next time I see him, it's a really cool tool.

Thanks, what temp for miata thermoswitch?

And where would I find one, through a Mazda dealer, or is there a cheaper source? What do you use to clean your radiator and what type of coolant and/or additive do you use?
