What's your best 60" foot with ET Streets ?

For those that are running ET Streets, what has been your best 60 foot? What rpm did you drop at? What Size turbo?

I bolted a set on my car this evening so we'll see what happens tommorow at the track. My traps will most likely be around 123-124 so if I can cut a 1.5 something then it should get interesting. My best short time yet was a 1.74 and that was with my 17 inch work meisters and nitto 555R's.

Shouldn't you be trapping quite a bit higher than 123? I mean, Chris trapped at 118 with his 347rwhp FD....and you have 10x more **** than him. What is your gear ratio with that 8.8"?

Wont your times be much different with the solid rear axel compared to stock/modified IRS?

1.56 has been my best. I have had several 1.5X 60's. 122 to 123 traps and a 1.5 60' should get you low 11's...

Yeah I should be, but I have a few bugs to work out. 4.30 gears.

How much mph are you guys picking up between the 1/8 and 1/4?

I'm picking up like 31-32mph but only trapping like 123-124 and getting only 93mph in the 1/8, I think I'm screwing up my shifting down low. I need to be quicker to the shift instead of shifting at 8500.

The most I have picked up is 29.5mph. Typically it has been around 28mph.

See, this is the reason why I think that I'm messing up through the first couple of gears. I should be trapping more than 123-124 if I'm picking up 32mph between the 1/8 and 1/4.

no no no no. Not what I'm talking about. I think I'm losing alot of power/trap speed because I'm trying to ring my engine out to 8500 with basically stock ports.

See what I'm saying?

how safe is it to launch at 6000+ rpm on et's? softer tires take the impact but it seems like a violent launch. i've yet to try mine out, still working out some bugs.

i'm considering some et streets as well. i've cut a 1.66 on 245/50/16 nitto drags, and i know boostd7 has cut 1.5's with his nittos.

you might also look into the new et street drag radials. i read a write-up in hotrod where they compared them to the original et streets and they were actually getting slightly lower 60ft times out of the drag radials versions. they're also tubeless and have a slight wrinkle effect to them

also, i trap 97mph in the 1/8th with 439whp and crappy shifting. thought maybe it'd give ya some more numbers to crunch.

Plenty safe for me. I don't have anything to worry about.

Yes, I'll be getting the new ET Street radials for my daily driver 17's when they come out. I'll use the ET STREETS for track though.

What RPM are you shifting out of 1st and 2nd gear? Also, what port do you have?

i usually try to shift as close to 8k as possible. my car peaks hp at 7000, but falls off around 7500. i'm afraid if i shift any lower it might fall out of an appropriate rpm range for the turbo to come back into boost. i have an atkins extreme street port. not sure how big it is, but jason at the rx7store said that it appeared to be pretty big from the vacuum and the sound it makes

Yep, ET streets are very nice and soft on the drivetrain....my best on them was a 1.49 60ft running the 10.9 on stock non-seq turbos.
I launch @ 7krpm w/ ETs.
And I've also menaged 1.528 and 1.59 60fts on Nittos on a well prepped track.

My 1/8th to 1/4 mile gain will vary from 25-30mph depending on shift points but I average mostly ~28mph.

Gargamel.....8500rpm with stock ports !!!!!! here's your problem. You're in 4th before 1/8th.......also spinning in 1st and 2nd gear.
1->2nd gear= 8krpm
2->3rd gear= 7500-8000krpm
3->4th gear= 7500 rpm

What makes you think that I'm in 4th gear before the 8th? Not sure if I am or not..... hmm. Also, what tire pressure are you running with the et streets? I made a few launches tonight with 15 psi in the tires and was only able to cut some 1.73's. That's with no spinning and no bogging. I should be in the 1.5's I would think.......

When launching, are you holding your rev at 7k and then dropping the clutch or are you holding it at 7k, then dropping the clutch while you hammer the throttle? You aren't bouncing it off the rev limiter are you?

Boostn7 a 1.49 is amazing!

The best I have ever run on ET Streets was a 1.67. How the hell do you pull a 1.49!
