Whats safe with this setup?

I got a non seq. car with a M2 stage III, walbro fuel pump, and FMIC on the way hopefully, and also full 3" exhaust and intakes. How much boost can I run safely with that setup? I am running just the M2 right now and pushing around 11-12 psi is that safe? Thanks

You can run 12-13 psi on the M2 ecu safely, although they do not recommend running a midpipe. This may be more due to boost creep issues rather than a/f ratio issues.

Alright thanks, would it help to get a aftermarket FPR with the fuel pump or just the fuel pump?

No, and there's no reason to get an aftermarket fuel pump either.

It won't really make a difference with the M2 ECU. While it is possible to increase fuel using a Rising Rate FPR, it's not the best way to do it given current technology (i.e. good programmable ECU's).

so a fuel pump won't add more fuel for me to run more boost safely?

it wont add more fuel in the way your thinking, just ups fuel pressure for safer boost levels in higher RPMs...

No it won't! The fuel pressure regulator does that. All a fuel pump does is pump fuel. Some pumps simply flow more, especially at higher pressures (higher boost).

What are you talking about? It has nothing to do with what ECU he's running, it's just how the fuel system works.

not to be a smartass but i guess the ECU has nothing to do with the fuel system right?...

but i thought that if you added a higher flowing FP then it would pump more but a stock computer doesnt recognize or compensate for this right? so the injectors and everything else is still working as though you have a stock pump. but since the other pump flows more wouldnt it just raise fuel pressure?...

No.

The ecu fires the injectors for a certain amount of time (duty cycle) to meet the fuel demands of the fuel map. The fuel pressure regulator increases the fuel pressure 1 psi for every 1 psi of boost above vacuum. The fuel pump either supplies enough fuel for this or it doesn't. The fuel pump must drive against the fuel pressure -- flow drops off once the pressure gets to a certain point. The fuel pump has zero to do with the pressure of the system.

The stock fuel pump will outflow the stock injectors. It's only when running larger injectors than stock does the stock fuel pump become inadequate and an aftermarket pump is required.

That would be correct.
Even with midpipe this ECU makes the engine run rich.

I run 10psi on the street and wind it up to 12psi occasionally.

I've ran 13psi successfully also in the past for some 1/4mile sprints.
