What's the proper way of breaking in the new Clutch?
I just installed mine. New clutch disk, pressure plate, release bearing. I took it for a drive today, the clutch felt really soft. I don't know if it's sopose to be that way. After maybe an hour of driving, it got a little just a little hard.
I also changed tranny fluid and i bleed the clutch system so there is no air in it.
I just want to know what's the proper way of breaking it in and should the clutch be this soft?
Thanks

Most clutch makers say 300-500 miles of stop and go/city type driving before doing any hard driving. I've heard that some ACT's don't really require a break in period and also I had a Star SPEC and while I did try to drive it for 300 miles without driving hard I must admit I felt the need to "get on it" a few times and nothing bad happened from me doing that.
Can't help you on the softness part though. What brand of clutch did you get? Just stock? Or ACT? Or??

some plates need to be cured , before they feel hard .the materal is bonded materal and only part way cured when sold , you must finish curing it by not over heating it , engage easy for several hundred miles as stated above
