if you get a good one to start off, the maintenace should not be costing that much. Now the mods i never keep track of how much i spend....life is to short for that, just be happy.

Only reason why I got mine...bought new in Conroe, TX 1994...driven by my younger (but older) brother. Car never seen 100 mph until it hand over to me. This car was pampered since day one.

Tell ya what...like the 7 so much I ditched the 408 cid supercharged Cobra

Good god. Why do you have to ask that? I have spent about $3500 total on a car that won't pass emissions. So luckily I am saving on gas as I ride my bike to work. :-).

It is fine though. I just keep telling myself I am saving for the 20b.

I bought mine around 5-6 years ago. I've put somewhere around 50-60K into the car alone (NOT including purchase cost of vehicle). I'm STILL not done, but very very close .

Look at JimLab's post in the other engine forum. Add all of the money up you all have spent, then maybe you will be where he is at... I think he is well over $100k, and it still isn't done!
Me:
Salvaged 42k mile car - $8900
parts to get it back on road - $2100
Performance goodies - $5500
Maint/tires for 2 years -$1800
Total -$18,300 and I've put 30,000 more miles on it!

Bought the car in Oct 2005 for 14.5k, and have spent roughly 16k on mods/rebuild since.
