what's the most hp i can get without going single? most bang for the buck
right now i have downpipe, highflow cat and catback. my next mods are midpipe and intake. then what should i do from there to get the most hp for the least amount of $$? unorthodox pulley set? ball bearing twin turbos? flywheel? how much hp could i realistically get without going single and without spending a fortune, i know that''s inevitable. can somebody give me the list of what you would do in order and how much hp each mod would give. thanks for your input, i lost sleep last night because i almost lost a highway race to a stock slowmaro z28.

dont get a pfc, they are ****, unless you have the means to get it specially mapped. which is a pain in the ***. i would go with haltech personally, its a lot more user friendly. about hp without going single, what is your hp right now, do you know? from that i could probably give you an estimate.

Why is a haltech easier than a PFC....both have to be remapped for mods and PFC is atleast plug and play for the mods he will have. It's a 5 min install for the PFC.
BTW the weekend of the 18th in AZ placing bets that there will be a new street class king...and yes it does use a PFC.

Since when has the PFC been a POS? The PFC has been proven that it is a great ECU for a really long time. As for the Haltech, have fun spending $2000 on the unit and that unit is definitely a pain in the *** to install.

Most FD owners with stock twin turbos end up around 300-320rwhp which is plenty.

From what I've seen FDs with around 330 rwhp are good for 12.0-12.1 with 340-350 rwhp good for 11s. The PFC needs to be tuned correctly and they are finally getting the bugs tuned out of them (timing maps) I would wait on the AEM - they are untested and will probably have some bugs to work out for a while - in about a year they will be the "new" thing to have. It's tough to get 350 rwhp out of a stock motor but I've seen it done with a Haltech (more tunable) - If you have acess to software for the PFC which hardly anybody does you can get nice numbers out of it. With a ported motor and 15 psi on stock turbos with pump gas 380 rwhp is possible but is pushing it. Most "BPU" FDs are running around 280-320 rwhp.

My RX7 (which I'm selling) right now puts down 350rwhp/300rwtq @ 1.05 bar. This is with stock twins running non-sequential. I have never run the car at the track, but I have raced a many 12 second cars. High, middle and low. While I get walked by the low 12s guys, I can hang with the mid 12s guys, and walk the high 12s guys. With 350rwhp I think you're basically looking at mid-high 12s easily. I think it would possible for someone with a street port and high boost to take a stock twins into the high 11s. Low 12s for sure. Just my 2 cents.

I was down at XS friday and there are even more goodies being put on the car. This will be a good match up. Pete is pretty serious about taking the street class title.

Ghost Ride the Whip
Ivan put down 387rwhp on stock sequential twins, he had a street port and was running 17psi, but on 13 psi he made 358rwhp
With those mods you should have beaten that camaro by a long shot. Back when I had just my downpipe, ecu, and cb exhaust I was already spanking modded Z28's easily, check to see if you're boosting right or if anything else is wrong with your car, you should have blown that thing away
