hey all...

just curious as to what's the max boost you could run on a stock cat...what is the limit?

I think Ive reached mine...hahah...gotta go hi flow asap...or midpipe...but hiflow would be better for what kind of driving I will be doing.

I have a bonez hi-flow cat used 3 days before I went MP. I'll cut you a good deal on it, I doubt I'll ever go back...LOUD @ WOT is fun! I like scaring the ricers when they follow me through underpasses -- almost made one wreck the other day, cruising about 30Mph, ricer on my ***, dropped down to 2nd and punched it --- saw him jump and swerve all over the road...hahahah

followed the loud-*** echo'ing through the underpass with a nice fat flame when I got off it too... MP's rule!

I was having fun launching at Every stoplight and i made up to about 10, 15. But i really don't have much done to it to risk overboosting.

i dunno, most people around here run about 12-13 and then put the mp in. i would think about 12-13 is ok, anymore than that and its going to be a bottle neck?

Im running 15 right now...seems to be choking after that...cant get any more boost out of the stock cat than 15.3 on my machine.

I was curious if anyone was running 16lbs or so on a stock cat...doesnt look like it.

Im gonna go with the broom handle mod as a test...punch a hole in the sucker and see how much boost i can run with the thing gutted. will get a hi flow to replace it.

well, on a clean cat (mine was perfect til I gutted it last night heheeh) max boost on my m2 turbos was 15.3 lbs..that was PEAK flow thru a cat...could turn up the boost as much as i wanted...only 15lbs would flow.

now the cat is open...the boost is flowing again. woo hoo.

one thing i learned..N1 Dual and open exhaust...LOUD LOUD LOUD LOUD.....yikes. gotta dig up my silencers now.

it feels a lot better now though...just a little too zoomy sounding.
