Whats with the efini stuff?

Im kinda a noob to the rx7's. So i was reading on a site about em and it said something about the older rx7's having the efini emblems or something like that.
I was just wondering what the deal is.

The efini badge is better looking than either the "toilet bowl/snake head" and "wings" emblems.

"Efini" is a derivation of the word infinity. Mazda gave this name to their premier line of cars.

And the design on the badge is a caricature of the infinity symbol.

Efini emblems are for people who want to make their cars look different. A lot of people have them, so now they are not really different

They are also for people who like confusing others. Remove the rear Mazda badge, put Efinis on, and a lot of people will have no idea what it is.

As stated above, I still believe it looks better then the "toilet seat" emblem. Plus you get to choose a background color that goes with your car that makes each one a little different
