Whats the cheapest and safest way to get 400rwhp out of my FD?

Ok, here's the thing, i have a FD that is my daily driver, it has FC commander, venom fuel pump, HKS downpipe, exaust, bov, dual air intake, and an apexi computer. Whats the cheapest way to get about 400RWHP out of it a t-78 turbo or To4R? I'm taking it in to get it tuned and getting a Fluidyne Race Radiator. So i was going to see about putting a turbo on it while i was getting all this done. So if you guys could just help me out and tell me what i'll need and around how much it will cost me?

lots of potential ways to get there

cheapest? just might be the BNRs....we'll see how Rich does this weekend

I'll have mine on a dyno in a couple of months, but I'm only shooting for 380 at 15 psi

Do a "search".. Many threads on this subject.. The only way to 400 whp consistantly and w/ some sort of reliability would be to get a single turbo set up (your motor I am assuming is 2 rotor stock ports).. Not cheap... Especially on pump gas...

So to get around 400hp what sould i do? Go single turbo or do the bolt on BNR? I'll be looking at injectors and intercooler+ turbos? how much will that run me $3k?

it all depends on what products you get and if they are used or new or what. The fuel stuff alone and run up to 1k if you let it. Or you can get used parts that have been cleaned and do it all for about 500. The turbo set up can be anywhere from 1k (if you went cheap ebay which i woudnt recomend) or can be 5k if you get the expensive *** kits. You get the point. The cheapest i would say you could do it all for would be about 2.5 - 3K with all used parts.

1600cc secondaries
FPR
Fule rail
and all parts needed for it (ie block off plates, Air pump removal kit)
Single Turbo (T04S might get you close enough)
Mid Pipe
Tuning
wider tires on the back
All this new will run you over $3k, used might be doable

The cheapest and easiest way is to buy someone elses that's already completed and solid. It's a rare find but you'll find it's a very expensive undertaking to start from scratch.

not to be a ********...but if you you really need to ask that question you really have a lot to learn....IF you want to do it RIGHT and be reliable etc...then used would obviously be the cheapest but it may not end up being the best route in the long run....when you add up a new clutch/pp, ic, single kit, bops, fuel system, boostcontroller and then pay for someone else to install it as well as tune etc....I think you would be hard pressed to do it for under 5-6k or so.....I'ts also never a bad idea to have some wider rubber under you and to beef up your rear end a little more....full suspension never hurts either....in short you could easily spend 10k + before you blink and eye

Damn that's enough money to do a 20b swap if you DIY.
