What's better PMS PFC or Tuned ecu?
Well I was thinking of either getting PMS PFC with keyboard or Tuned ecu. What do you guys think it's better. I have only dp, catback and intake. Will it be better to buy PFC and then tune it for what you have or buy tuned ecu from pettit or m2 that's already tuned for what i have?
Thanks
Thanks

its a PMC, not PMS (lol) - anyway, yeah, the PMC is better than the pettit ECU or whatever. for the same price you can actually tune the car for the car with what you have.

Actually, it's the PFS PMS or PMC...either way it works. haha. IF you are going to dyno tune or have a wideband, or intend to change your mods around a lot, a programable computer works better. But if you aren't sure how to tune or don't want to deal with it, an ECU like pettit is better. I think a pre-tuned ECU is still shady since they don't know your car, they just assume this and that and enter in the maps on the rom-chip. A programable ECU allows you to tune specifically for your car.

I will vouch for the PMC It has great boost control!(which reprogramed ecu's dont) and you ge 3 settings. IMO it is a awsome unit. I run mine in NON-SEQ and works just as good as SEQ. Here is a link www.PFS.cc call and talk to PFS they will explain the ins and outs if you are not sure.
p.s stay away from PMS its bad....

I always call it the PMS - EFI Systems make it and they call it the PMS. I think PMC is just the term Peter Farrell Supercars calls it.
I have a bunch of info about the unit on my webpage. www.wvinter.net/~flanham/wlanham .

there is some good information about it on your web page Wade, but i still need to know if i can tune it at the dyno place by going only one time to dyno. Each time is 60 bucks or so.

60 bucks for a tuning session is very cheap. Make sure they include a wideband with that test. no wideband = no tuning. the PFS PMS is very tuneable and user friendly. You can tune it at the dyno, but once you add mods or change parameters, you would want to double check again with the wideband.

Just Bring It,
You will have to talk to your dyno shop to find out if that $60 will get it tuned for you. I would think that anyone with a wideband lambda meter and experience tuning a rotary would be able to get it tuned close enough with just a few dyno pulls.
