The HKS Mild Steel DP is made to fit RHD cars like those found in Japan. It has a tight bend in the neck just after the turbo manifold to accomodate for the RHD steering column. I would by a DP that does not have this bend.

A warning about the Megan Racing downpipe found on ebay: the fitment issues aren't quite worth the $100 savings to most people. Time is money, and I'd rather have not spent an extra 2-4 hours under my car with a dremel, trying to make the holes line up, only to have an exhaust leak caused by the downpipe-to-cat flange being at the wrong angle. It's off by at least two or three degrees, enough to make a ~3/16" gap at the top even when tightened down snug.

Maybe pettit's downpipe?

but like i said before, anything is better than the stock pre-cat. I suggest losing it quick.

I like my HKS one. Easy to install, good quality and replacing the O2 sensor is easy.

Also consider the M2. It was a perfect, bolt on fit. Didn't have to remove the studs or have any fitment issues at all.

I like the Pettit one the most. Perfect fit and stainless. The HKS isn't a good one to buy if you want the best flow, however if you want to buy a name...

I say Pettit or M2.

I've got the Bonez dp from rx7.com and I can't see it sliding on any more easily than that. No fitment issues. I stuck with the mild steel pipe. Stainless is nice but the regular one is still going to outlive the car.

I had a ATR downpipe. It's a knock off of the original ASP design. Worked and fit good, I used shorter hex studs so it was easier put on and remove. I would look into getting ceramic coated which ever one you choose.

I'd go with the ebay dp/mp $100 combo...I mean come on, how hard is it to stick a drill in the existing holes and enlarge them.

Yes indeed. I got a In house brand from a well known and reputable shop and it didn't bolt up to the cat properly. Sent it back and got it exchanged for a HKS. Bolted up perfectly.

Stick with the tried and trued for this situation. That's just my opinion.

I got my downpipe from SR Motorsports. No fitment problems although I did have to replaces the manifold studs with the supplied bolts. Since my studs came off easily it was no problem for me but I hear it can suck if you happend to have problems removing the stock studs.
