Arrow smoke on new turbos?

i bought a jspec motor with an indentation rom sitting and put it in. it has 19k on it and will BARELY smoke a titch when i start up ntill it is to operation temp. i put on my used turbos off my old motor. they were pretty shot and smoked when i'd boost my second turbo. even sometimes when my first was hitting. so i bought used turbos with like noo miles and way better, and it smokes exactly the same. No smoke at all if u dont boost, i can be going all the way up to 6-7k on the tach without boost, just taking it easy, and no smoke. but as soon as i boost and the second hits, smoke. is there any other option to this problem besides the turbo seals being shot? could itbe my motor?

What is a "indentation rom"? If your engine has bad oil controll rings it could allow exhaust into your oil pan causing pressure to build and not allow the turbos to drain properly. There are 2 lines that go to your oil filler neck, you can pull them off then plug the lines with something like a bolt and with the car cranked put your finger in front of the open nipples on the oil filler neck and see if there is air coming out. If so your oil controll rings are probably failing which would explain why your getting smoke at idle.....if thats the case its probably going to get much worse.

If thats not the case....how do you know the turbos were low mileage?

What color is your smoke. Are you sure that your're not running really rich. If the smoke is blue then its oil but if the smoke is black then its running rich.

No, crazyrx7 is right. Blue is oil, black is fuel, white sweet smoke is coolant.

Let me be the first to tell you that has nothing to do with it sitting while being shipped, I've seen motors sit for months and months with no problem like that at all. The reason there are marks is cause most of these Jspec engines sit outside in the rain and ocean air for years in a junk yard before they ship them to you.

this one was pulled by one of my own guys over there, and sat for roughly 2 months. i am not contesting it not being from sitting though, i have no idea, that is just what someone told me. thanx for the input. - i plugged in the PFs and oh my gosh, amazing. it changed so much! it doesnt smoke as much now, which leads me to believe it is fuel mixed with oil. it is def blue smoke, but smells rich. well DID smell rich. who is good at tuning PFS? i need someone hire to do it for me.
