what year jdm clip do i have???

i and been searching for to days and cant find any info on jdm vin#
just wondering if any one could help me
the jdm vin# is

you dont have the whle number there but going buy what you gave me you have a H4 it is a 92 fd for you state side guys it sounds imposible look out for iron housing problems they had some quirks that year. my red one is a H4 the silver in my profile is a H5 i have had no problems i didnt bring on my self.great cars lots of fun hope you put that clip to good use

h# is a reference to the japanese dating system. H = heisei (name of current emperor's reign), 1 = 1989, 2 = 1990, etc.

Nothing to do with the vin though. The first number of the vin = production run

1 = 91-93
2 = 93-95
3 = 95-96
4 = 96-98
5 = 98-00
6 = 98-02

as hinted above, there seem to be a few, very very rare, exceptions to that rule

if you want to double check that for peace of mind...



the chunky top one is a 16bit connection, the bottom is 8bit - very easy to differentiate
