With 66k miles (private sale). Very good condition (already checked out ok by dealer). 100% stock. Are R2 worth any more than touring models? Have deal for $18,500; too much? Thanxs ahead for your opinions.

That's a very fair price and the R2's are hard to come by. It won't be a steal, but you'll have an R2.

This is definately a debatable topic of which of the 3rd generation RX-7's are worth the most amount of money. In my opionion any time an R-package FD is forsale it tends to get top dollar, this of course is depending on the buyer. Honestly with the way these cars are getting more and more extinct to find any model in good clean shape is hard. They are out there but hard to find. If i were looking for something all stock and low mileage i would take a touring, base, or R-pkg. Its not easy finding R-pkg FD's anymore in excellent shape.
