hmmm

balad ab iraq nifty so if your with the helos id be on the otherside of the base at the 130's and well your situation sounds just like mine what exactly do you spend 13000 in cash on and being tax time is coming aswell thats a damn good chunk o change there. but heres what im planning on going since my motor is already out getting large streetport right now and i need some other parts pieces from an accident a while ago i will be getting a front clip that way ill have all the parts i need as well as an extra tranny and engine to play with some more and what i dont use ill try to get rid of on the forums\ebay now on too the relevant question what to buy heres gonna be the start of my list full an/stainless braid hosing ptp dual wlbro fuel pump setup, groundzero LIM, pinapple/excessive motorsports cast oil pan, im picking up my buddies turbonetics t72 q-trim setup, aeromotive fpr, aem universal ems NOT the plug n' play. c-west body kit, and wold like to find some volk gt-u's for a good price but wll prolly settle for something a little cheaper for now, will most likely be getting the delrin suspension bushings in the gb section being as i have plenty of time to wait till i get back for it to finish and get shipped i would like to pick up the nrs ceramic apex seals as well but since they havent gotten the 2mm springs yet i may have to pass and get them later. and then i will be picking up other odds and ends as they come up for a good price that i need interior/hardware.
now major things i already have picked up exedy twinplate, tien flex, presision 750 intercooler, as well as my apexi guages.
now i realize that isnt very much but you must realize i was also working on my fc last rotation and didnt get that much for the fd but have since sold the fc. being what i really wanted was the fd anyway.
but thats where im at right now. then again so manychoices that could change before i get back
peace out
Z

this hurts my head

i'd say get a rebuild with ALL new parts. maybe even those trick RacingBeat aluminum irons to cut down on some weight. Single with all the goodies. have fun.

Assuming the car is bone stock:

Basic maintenance: replace all fluids, filters, plugs, wires, accessory belts & coolant hoses

Downpipe, ceramic coated
New radiator
Upgraded oil coolers
Upgrade, eliminate, or replace AST with another one

Keep a few thousand saved up for a new motor if/when the old one wears out.

Spend the rest on track days and brake pads. Stick to autocrossing for the first 6-12 months, because it would really suck to stuff your car into a wall or tire barrier at a 'real' track. Off-track excursions are no big deal on autocross courses.

Once you get to be a faster driver, you might want to add:
Upgraded suspension
Vented hood
Racing harness and harness bar
Extra set of wheels & tires
Aftermarket steering wheel
Lightweight battery, relocated
PFC, wideband O2 sensor, and professional tuning
IC, intake, exhaust
