I'm not sure what you mean by "core", but the shortblock (which is just the actual motor itself completely stripped down with the exception of oil system) weighs right at 200lbs.

Back from the dead....

Since the 'core' weighs about 200 lbs, that is too much for UPS.

Who do you guys use to ship cores back?

Thanks,
Sonny

I dont think the block weighs 200 lbs but atleast 150.
I was able to man handle it around wih just the block.

As for shipping. You'll want to get it on a pallet and ship it Roadway. Besure to string it down. I wouldnt use FedEx or UPS on shipping a block, it will get royally f*ked up.

I just shipped a 120lb item on a pallet via Roadway for $120 to VA. If that gives you an idea of costs

(Im in Oklahoma City)

The actual shipping weight for mine was just over 200lbs, something like 212. But I shipped it truck freight. If you're getting a reman, go with Malloy Mazda, Ray Crowe is awsome
