Question What to use to get the leather to look like new

I did a search and found nothing of how to get your used black seats looking "newer". Mine has the normal wear on the drivers side upper lumbar. Its starting to turn white from use, so what do you guys use or used to make them look all black again?

About the best you can hope for is some leather stain (or black shoe polish) and Hide Food or similar leather conditioner. It will wear off in a few months.

I use neatsfoot oil. Put it on your leather and let it sit for a while and wipe off the excess and repeat, if needed.

I have gray leather seats and I used to use them fancy stuff, but, I was never really satisfied with results.

My seats actually feel lot more supple (feels almost new) and looks really good.

P.S. I used gray shoe polish first as my lumbar area became little light in color. Then, I used neatsfoot oil.

I use black shoe polish for scratches and small wear spots, then leather conditioner. I also back my seat up all the way before I get in and out, so that I don't rub against the bolster. Hmmm...I sound a little obsessive

Nothing, just think of it as "character" or "its really time to spend a grand for new upholstery since I'm driving a ghettomobile"

i have used SADDLE SOAP. I actually have two 80+ year old horse saddles that look new because of the stuff. My black FD leather looks perfect!

(prolly set myself up for some jokes on this one)

(Acutally Saddle Soap is awesome since it cleans and conditions and is CHEAP. It also cures baldness and gout. Murphy's is my fav.)

I make sure I remove the left rear button from all the non-dress pants I buy as soon as I get them. It is the button that does most of the damage to the seat bolster.

i condition my leather but i just get in and out without worrying about what condition the leather is in, its a 10 year old car, it will get worn out, and when it does...racing seats, yay, if not get it reupohlstered
