I seem to have lost some power recently and am running very hot at the track. I was actually throwing flames like the batmobile, not just spitting them and my turbos were glowing.

I am running an 11-10-12 boost pattern, but don't spike on the primary turbo until about 2500-3800 rpm's.

My buddy's RX7 is faster than mine and he doesn't have the ecu upgrade and is running 9lbs of boost.

Am I in need of a hi flo cat?

My buddy has a midpipe in his garage and said I could try it. I guess that will tell me for sure what is going on.

 

You may need to reprogram your aftermarket ECU if you end up w/ the MP setup so you don't run lean. I think you can tell if the main cat is plugged when you take it out.

 

Would the downpipe make that much difference?

how can u tell if u have a clogged cat...as in to diagnose the cat? i think i might be having the same problem...i just want to verify i have a bad cat before i change it.
