use the freakin search

I am running stock suspension with Koni Yellows. I havent needed anything more than what the stock suspension gives......so far. course I've only had it for about a month. I've been too busy making it faster in a straight line.

I don't know about that -- they don't offer seperate ride height/spring pre-load adjustments and they also run the same spring rate front/rear, which would normally cause some pretty narly oversteer.

Unless you are an experienced track guy, pick up some springs (H&R for example) and some adjustable shocks like Konis and try that out for a while.

i m not an experienced track guy, probably will go on track one or 2 times a year, mainly for Sunday cruise on mountain roads, so i'll be looking at getting something not too hard, but not too soft neither.

anyone here tried apexi? or jic?

I put in the H&R sport springs. They are firmer than the RB ones that were in there before, but they are not harsh. Still using the stock shocks. The springs solved a problem I was having with the tire touching the inner fender liner (front) under hard cornering on the highway.

Koni adjustable shocks should do you just fine. They are even height adjustable so you really don't need to do springs if you don't want to. When you replace them, do the upper strut/shock mounts and spring pads. That will make the suspension quieter and the rubbers are probably all shot anyway.

All coil overs will be stiff. Most use spring rates up over 400lbs/in usually in the 500lbs/in range.

If you want something not too hard but not too soft, think about some Tokico 5-way Struts with some progressive springs (Eibach or something else).

The progressive spring rate will feel nice on the street but give you a little more aggressive handling when you need it.

well, if you want stock goodness, than 93 R1 springs and struts are a good thing. I can tell you, since i own an R1, they are pretty stiff, but provide stock goodness. Now i have Tokico Ilumina 5way struts and Racing beat springs, and they are perfect for me. But for all out, i'd go with JIC FLT-A2...or not.

that's what i wanted to hear. any problems whatsoever? i'm mainly needing the different settings for street/auto-x/drag. i like to do everything and don't want to compromise anything, so i want full adjustability to do so. i really like the idea of having the pillow mounts to so i can adjust camber. did they come with one for the rear or just the front?

Since you are in Australia I would check out the (DMS) Drummond Motor Sport coilovers. They make a very nice heavy duty setup, and they are based in Australia.

I love my old Mazdaspeed coilover. People complain they are soft...but, I like it a lot because it's 'soft' for street comfort. I don't drive mad quick or drift or drag anyway.

I have the JIC FLT A2's. I think they are a fair compromise for the car. Much nicer than the Tokico illuminas I had. You can also get custom spec ones, and bring the spring rate down if the 9/12's are too much for you.
