I switched steering wheels over the weekend from stock to the Momo edition. Now i have the annoying air bag light flashing. So, who knows what size resistor will stop this. I wired a resistor into a friends car on the same swap and the issue was corrected. Only problem is that his resistor came with his steering wheel, so we aren't positive as to what size it is.

thanks for the link, however i was not going the route of pulling the bulb. And didn't want to buy a whole kit from someone since i know a resistor works, i just need to know which one it was i installed.

The one i installed was not labeled, and we were told it was a 5 Ohm resistor. But no one sells a 5 Ohm resistor.

I just finished installing mine when i found your link.

I used 2 resistors from radio shack. They are 1 Ohm 10 watt resistors, sold as a pair. I'll try to post pics of my install in a second.

 

steps 1-4, starting with the wheel, column cover, and ribbon removed.

 

And here's the last 4, sorry about the images, i did this in the dark.

 

If you remove the entire SRS (control unit, wiring, and sensors), will you still have the flashing light and beeps?

 

Those pics are so small I can't make out any details...
