TX What size are the A/C connections @ the Condenser??

Does anybody know the size/pitch?

I have a Vmount and am looking at aftermarket condensers that may hook right up to the factory lines.

Thanks in advance.

Is your car a touring or a base/r1 model?

I couldn't find anything that identified it. But my condenser appears to be MANA based on pictures I found on the forum.

They are metric and I haven't been able to find a source. I believe the tubing is metric as well as the threads. The only fittings i have been able to find are metric threads with standard hose sizes. If someone knows different, please let me know ASAP as I'm assembling my A/C system within the next week or so. I'm planning to reuse my factory hard lines and weld on barbed adapters.

The liquid outlet (small) from the condenser on a MANA system is M16x1.5

I have no idea what the inlet size is.

All the aftermarket universal condensers you're gonna find will be #6 and #8 fittings. (Although I got one for my REPU that was #6 and #? and required an adapter to get to #8. LOL)

You can take your existing compressor discharge hose to a hydraulics shop and have it re-made with the factory section of aluminum on the compressor end, and a standard #8 fitting on the condenser end.

I would suggest you go to a universal drier since the MANA units are NLA, so you'd just have a #6-on-both-ends hose from universal condenser to drier. Then you'd need a #6/M16x1.5 hose to go from drier to the stock hard line that runs across the front of the car, although you may be totally screwed here since the aluminum tubing that Mazda used is smaller than the standard #6 tubing.

How's that for an update?
