What should i polish?

im going non-seq and replacing my engine harness, and i petty much took everything part. now i dont know what part i should get polish? as of right now im getting the upper intake manifold and i/c piping done. what do you guys think? the more the better? or is too much a bad thing?

I don't think too much is a bad thing. As long as you keep up on keeping it clean, polish whatever you like.

You might think about your throttlebody (if it's not being done now) or alternator.

BTW, the picture above is RTS3GEN's car (the King of Bling). PM him about what's he's had polished and chromed.

is that easy to do yourself or you had it done in the shop??

would love to have mine shiney, but not chromed, dont think you can do it easily yourself can you?

It's relatively easy. Lots of sanding... Start 200-300-400-600-1200-1600.... steel wool... then slap it on the buffer..

confucious sayz... all those shiny parts do nothing for large amounts of heat .... ceramic coating is the way to go

PM RTS3GEN,

As I said, it's his car. He can give you the details. The metal parts are polished. If you look hard, some of the plastic components have been chromed.

Just FYI.... That car is track driven (not necessarily dragging, real SCCA track events many times a year) and doesn't have any problems with heat.

now this may be a stupid question, BUT instead of all that sanding, wouldnt it be simpler to give it a good wash and use some cleaner to get oil etc off, then just paint it with silver heat resistant paint? (dont laugh it was just a thought, sure theres many reasons why this isnt a good idea!)

well it can be.... gettin the shiny stuff isnt as good as the black stuff... which is what im doin... but its still better than jus a straight polish... and ur uim wong get all stupid colord
