The shipping?

Seriously, I don't know, but I'm interested in what others will say.

why do you want to buy a blown motor? what are you going to do if all the parts are no good and can't be reused for a rebuild. if an apex seal or corner seal went threw the motor and the housings and rotors are scared it useless. money wasted if you ask me.

Do not buy a blown motor (unless its $500 including shipping.)

Buy a reman from Ray Crowe - it comes with a 1 year warrentee and its cheep (by comparison). I paid $2500.00 (less shipping) for mine and it's a great reman. Ray took care of the core fees for me (I returned a, basically, melted core).

Well im talking a blown engine with all the manifolds, turbo, harness, alt, starter ect.

I would obviously store the engine and use parts as needed. Also i would have a core that i could use for a core deposit.

What i am asking is what is the price for a complete engine with the tranny, and a price for the complete engine without the tranny?? WITHOUT shipping.

i don't think you understand what the point here is. if one rotor housing is gone, that's 800 dollars for another one. you can't remachine it, no nothing. if the rotor itself is gone, you're looking at more money too. i'm going to assume that you don't know how to take apart a motor, and ripping it apart will either cost you money or time.

if your situation is that you don't have any accessories at all for a shell, then pick it up for around a grand. otherwise, its not worth the waste of time discovering how shitty condition the engine is in with a guaranteed blown engine.

The only parts I can think of you might need off a long block would be turbos ($250 if good) Alternator ($?) and starter ($75). So if you can get a blown long block for $325 +/- $100 then go for it. Blown engines are worthless until proven otherwise.

turbos might not be good either if an apex seal blew . Metal parts from the seal might have gone through the exhaust and damaged the turbine wheels. To rebuild these it has cost me around 600$ in malta.

The only advantage I see is if you don't cuurently have a motor and you use it as a core to buy a reman (last time I checked Ray was offering a $700.00 discount with a core exchange). Depending on the mileage of the blown motor and the condition of the parts attached to it (turbos, rats nest, TB, etc., etc.) you save a couple of hundred bucks buying this blown motor and using it as a core exchange for a reman.

Good luck with your decision.
