what should I do with these?
what should I do with these?
hey, I have put a single turbo on my third gen. which has left me with these twin turbos....My next project is going to be putting a honda b16 into an old mini. I am turbocharging the honda motor and I have been looking at the gt28rs, but I was thinking....it would be baddass if I could get the twins from the rx7 to work on the honda motor. I would leave it seqential and I would have no trouble making the header or boost tubes. I know it would be easier to just put on a single turbo, but I would like to try it out. If anyone has any input, ideas, or objections about how I could do this it would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. sorry about where I posted this, I didnt know where else to put it

You would want to connect the exhaust headers of the honda to the exhaust manifold of the stock turbos, for starters. And locate the solenoids, and some sort of ECU to control them, etc. Probably not worth it, especially for an engine without the RPM range of a rotary.
Just start with the piping - I doubt it'll get that far.

Trying to run them in sequential mode in a car that's not an FD would be a MASSIVE chore. The stock ECU has to control all the solenoids and actuators that make the sequential system work - you would have to have the stock ECU to run the sequential system, then somehow fake it out about there not actually being a rotary engine in the car. That would be FIENDISHLY complicated to even make work, let alone work well.
I'd sell the twins and use that money to buy some other toys

That does make sense
i think that I might be able to make it work with pressure activated switches and some solenoids, but then I still dont know if it would work well enough for it to be worth it. I just remeber how good they felt in the rx7 and I want to feel that in the mini. If anyone has anymore ideas on how to make it work please reply.
thanks

Take a look at the vacuum hose diagram.

and by the way, good choice of chassis there!
