What are the seals made out of?

I think it's a carbon composit right? It needs to be a little soft or else would scrap the housing too hard. I guess carbon fibre or kevlar are too hard on the housing. Maybe they should make the rotor and housing out of titanium and use CF or kevlar seals. That would cost lots of money though... I wonder if they experiemented with precious metal on race rotary engines...

Apex seals? They're made of steel. You can get them in carbon fiber and ceramic for high-boost, high-RPM, but they don't last long and seal like purple fish at low RPMs.

and do you think I would be able to get the blueprints for the rotors? I what thinking it would be neet to have some machined out of titanium. What difference would this make?
