so What radiator cap and what pressure do i need for my FD in need one for the filler neck and for the AST to try and stop a coolant leak i have from the over flow while its running.

i have read that only one needs a spring? and they should be .9 or 1.1?

"I talked to Mark at TriPoint Engineering about the caps that come on their AST. The stock 3rd gen pressure cap (Mazda P/N: N3A1-15-205A) without "ears" will work, as well as an older style cap (Mazda P/N: D316-15-205) with "ears". Both are 0.9 Kg/cm (12.8 psi), stock rated caps (do NOT put a higher pressure cap than that on)."

 

So i can just go to an auto parts store and get 2 radiator caps rated at 12 psi for both the AST and the filler neck and call it good?

 

You can get both from malloy mazda. I bought the filler cap (without spring) for about $15.

 

Just got a new one from Ray myself!

 

Just get one with spring and an AST delete kit from Ray @ Malloy.
