Looking to get one pretty soon, just curious what works best that isn't too expensive. I'm not looking for stand alone, just something that will make my car run better with a ported motor, intake, intercooler and full exhaust.

thanks,
marshall

I used the PMS for over a year. Loved it.

This belongs in ECU Section....

But maybe you'd like to explain where you want to go with the car, since piggyback can be very short sighted....

I posted about not getting enough boost because of my stock air box, and i was told to get a different ecu before i run an open filter intake. So, I posted because i wassn't sure what was out there as far as piggyback ecu's go, and what works best for bolt on modifications.

You know, I've seen several highly modded cars successfully run these for years with no problems...

^ they probably use the fully programable one. Correct me if i'm wrong, but i was sure there was a piggyback emanage and a standalone emange.

Hmm...

Well then, I know a bunch of cars with the piggyback (including me) and a ton of mods with much success. Wasn't aware there was a PFS stand alone.

Buddy Club makes a piggy back for $300 ...but it's another $300 for the software.

I would advise staying away from purple peter as well, according to him C16 racing fuel is a reliability and performance cure all.
