What parts for a dual oil cooler setup?

Since i've had the FD i' ve only tracked it during the Fall, but with warmer weather coming up i'm looking into installing the dual oil cooler setup. Now i know i can try and find a stock one that someone is selling (which i'm trying to do right now), but seems like i could get a bigger cooler and do it for cheaper if i could put together my own parts like hoses, fittings, and a generic cooler. Has anyone done this or have the info for what kinds of fittings and things that i would need? It's my daily driver so i dont really have time to take her apart and just find out.

Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

If that's the case, you'll just have to spend the money for a kit. Aftermarket oil coolers aren't just going to plug up to the stock mounting brackets. You'll have to make brackets if you go with creating your own kit.

If you don't have time to work on making things on your own, just find someone selling the stock R1/2 coolers.

If it's your DD and you don't have time to figure things out, I will give you a good piece of advice -- either buy the R1/R2 oem dual setup or buy an aftermarket kit. You will not save much money (if any) and it will cost you a TON more time trying to piece together a kit on your own.

I run the Rotary Extreme dual 25-row kit BTW.

Thanks rynberg and mahjik. I actually just found a great thread (actually that first one you posted) and have been reading. Looks like you're right. I guess if it was just that easy it would have been done by now, eh?

Thanks for taking the trouble to point me in the right direction. If i can't find a stock dual setup i may just have to go for either the Gotham Racing or RotorSports kits (at $850 and $950 respectively). So far they're the most reasonable that i've come across. If anyone else knows of a good setup, please let me know.
