What part did I just break?

There a vacuum line leading form one of the turbos to the black pressure box right in front of the intake. This particular vacuum line has an ugly round green paltic oiece on it. What is this? and Lets say it 'theoretically' gets broken, how would I, errr. someone that 'theoretically' broke it get a replacement?

Thanks a billion,

Ricter

That is the turbo control pressure tank's check valve. If you broke it, you will have a slow transition point between primary and secondary turbos. You may not get any secondary boost if your vacuum side is not up to par, but you should nevertheless replace that check valve. This check valve should be one of two check valves that FD owners pay the most attention to as it wil cause poor boosting. Do not use a generic check valve here, buy the OEM version. Also, if you can, make a longer hose for it so that you can pull it further away from the turbo's heat.
