What oil to use ? Can I use 20W-50?

The recommended oil is a 10W-30 mineral non symthetic for an FD or is it? Can I use a 20W-50 in Pakistan temperatures ranging from about abouit freezing in winter to almost 50 Celsius in the shade in summer.

The only 10W-30 available is synthetic here in Pakistan.

By the way my FD arrived. Recaros bone shaking ride and all but the clutch is heavy and sharp.... should it be and it judders occasionally as well. Do modded clkutches behave in this way??

Pics to be posted soon

Yes heavy clutches are like that. Its one of the elements of 'streetability' that makes modded cars uncomfortable.

20w-50 is ideal for summer, assuming your trips are long enough on average to get the oil warmed up. 10w-30 might be worth using during the winter months. Synthetic and mineral doesn't matter for most FD owners, and opinions are all over the map about that subject. Starting another discussion about syn vs. mineral is a waste of time.

Thanks

Thanks very much.
Took it out on clear roads for the first time today in early morning ( 5.15 ) to sort of clear its throat after the three month lay off at ports and customs . And then went for a run myself. Interesting.... the jittery low speed ride smooths out at speed and the car sort of shrinks around you.

Yeah, the stock ECU doesn't drive very smoothly under light throttle and low speeds. But under heavy throttle, all that doesn't matter

Don’t worry about the clutch that’s normal feel when you have a performance clutch.
