93 BP or Amoco

87-90 octane? How many of you are actually running completely STOCK OEM setups?

Maybe the book advises you can use 87-90 octane for a stock FD but remember even a single mod or a single change in atmospheric pressure during a high boost situation (to say nothing of a heat soaked IAT just before a full boost in cold weather) puts you at higher risk of detonating when using 87 to 91 octane gas.

Sure, once by accident, I had to run an entire tank of 87 in my heavily modded FD with no ill effects. Of course I NEVER boosted past 5 psi during that whole run.

Be wise---Don't economize
Use 93 or better whenever possible

I apologize for my mistake. I think, however, that everyone here would agree that using less than 91 octane is not an intelligent thing to do.....

oh guys dont complain about high gas prices 98(93) costs about 5 USD a gallon here in norway. And 114 race fuel costs about 23 USD a gallon.

So don't complain about high gas prices

Currently 93 Street
110-118 Strip

But now Mix 93/100 not raced or pushed hard, and if
pushed hard (street race(which I don't do)) I would
have a min of 100!
