what makes the rotary engine blow

I hope people won't flame me for this but what is the most
common way to blow the rotary engine and what is the most
common reason the engine blows???

I mean i know that from pistons and etc, but what I mean is what makes rotary less durable than pistons???

keep it cool,get the relibility mods like dp,mp,radiator and dont be lazy on maintances. A PFC is always nice too

i personally think i'm a noob with rx7's but once something happens try to fix it and nothing major will happen. i had my seven for about 6 months now and its a DD. only been down for a few days all together at most.

A midpipe is not a reliability mod, it's a performance mod...

For NA's i think they mostly wear out more than blow up.
Turbos on the other hand one word says it all... Detonation..

Yep, and that's why an upgraded ECU is necessary when using a straight exhaust.

The engine 'blows' from detonation. Detonation is caused by too low octane fuel or lean AFRs. Lean AFRs are usually caused by adding performance mods without appropriate tuning.
